Pinienwald von Cervia

Here you can find a small recreation point much interesting for your children, but not just for them.
The house of the butterflies is nothing more than a glasshouse of approximately 500 square meters in which tropical butterflies of various kinds and origins are flying in a free way, among plants and flowers.
At the end of your visit you can also have a purchase in the little shop next door.
The House of the Butterflies is a structure, reachable in an easy way by car or by public services (from 1st June to 15th September).
It is a glasshouse of approximately 500 square meters where a faithful reproduction of the rain forest has been set up.
Every week hundreds of bugs complete their cycle transforming themselves in colourful butterflies that are flying in a free way in the inside of the glasshouse, that sees because of this every phase of the vital cycle of the insect (egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly).
But the butterflies are surely not the only attraction of the glasshouse, where also some exotic reptiles have found a perfect habitat respecting their necessities, such as chameleons or iguanas.
But we should not forget the didactic area dedicated to the world of the invertebrates, with a thematic extension and a shop. Since 2005 the small lake of the glasshouse accommodates Koi- carps, known by all fans of Japanese and Manga comics.
Even aquariums with tropical fishes and frogs of varied species and origins do not lack. At least there are also the earth turtles, who live in an appropriate fencing that accommodates them since the first days of June.
On the back of the house of the butterflies there you can find a botanic path that shows a discreet variety of plants and butterflies of our zone.
